Alocasia Jacklyn 12cm
The Alocasia Jacklyn is a rare and stunning houseplant that will stand out amongst the best foliage. With its dramatic dark green leaves adorned with dark veins, shaped like a large "V" with deep lobes down either side.
Care Tips:
Lighting: Your Jacklyn will thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. Most unusual-looking houseplants like the Jacklyn are from rainforests where they would grow under a tree canopy, so that's the kind of light it wants. Avoid direct sunlight though, that will quickly scorch the foliage.
Temperature: Enjoys warmer temperatures of 18°C to 27°C and really doesn't want to go below 16°C. Protect your Jacklyn from cold drafts and constantly changing temperatures.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water your Jacklyn when the top inch of the soil feels slightly dry. Ensure proper drainage by using a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage holes. Be cautious not to let the plant sit in standing water, as it can lead to root rot. In winter or during periods of low light, reduce watering frequency.
Soil and Fertilization: Use a well-draining potting mix specifically formulated for houseplants. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and a small amount of organic matter works well. Fertilize your Alocasia Jacklyn every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for proper dosage.
Comes in a 12cm plastic pot.
